Suicide Is a Permanent Response to Temporary Problems

There is no one single cause for suicide, but it is often linked to mental health problems such as depression, bipolar disorder or schizophrenia. People may also be at risk of suicide if they have a history of alcohol or drug abuse, or if they are in a difficult situation like a break-up or job loss.

It’s important to remember that suicide is not always caused by a single event or problem – it can be the result of many different issues that have been building up over time. And while suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem, there is always hope. ALWAYS.

If you are worried about someone you know, the best thing to do is talk to them about it. You can offer support and listen without judgement, and encourage them to seek professional help if needed. And if you’re feeling suicidal, please reach out to someone. Even me, if you want.
