Creativity Cannot Be Constrained by Morality

Morality is about control and boundaries. Creativity is about attaining a state of flow and letting go.

If moral strictures were to dictate terms to the creative process, then it would never get off the ground.

Constraints of time and space are great at giving structure to a process of creation, but moral codes only rain on the parade.

A true creative is able to put moral codes out of their mind until the process of creation has been completed. They can then decide what to keep and what to put away. Morality can enter the scene at this point.

Thinking about morality when trying to be creative is jumping the gun. Don’t do that.

Stay Away from the Moral Brigade When You Create

You need peace when you create. You can’t enjoy inner serenity when overcome by the chirping of moralists who won’t let you get to a state of flow.

How is anything meaningful supposed to originate from a shaking, anxious mind?

Being Creative Won’t Land You in Hell

Ultimately, you need to back yourself in being creative. God approves of it. Just like He approved of Michelangelo’s and Raphel’s efforts…

Switch off the inner critic, shush the external ones, and get to work creating!
